Careers Counselor
Online Video-based Career Counseling is one the core services
being offered at Pathfinder. We are looking for career counselors who have
excellent subject knowledge and wants to practice their skills online. You are
expected to facilitate students, parents and professionals to make informed
decisions related to education and careers.
Tasks
- Facilitate students, parents and professionals
for educational and careers related concerns.
- Providing satisfactory career counseling
services to existing and prospect clients.
- Help students develop a plan for their
academic career that corresponds with their skills and interests.
- Conduct trainings, workshops, presentations,
and other events on a variety of topics, including writing resumes and cover
letters, successful job interviewing, using university’s career development
resources, researching graduate programs, and more.
- Research and analyze current employment trends
in various industries.
Skills and Qualifications
- MS degree in Career Counseling or in related
field.
- Get to know students and their unique needs to
offer specialized solutions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to address
a variety of educational and careers related issues of students, parents and
professionals.
- A non-judgmental approach while interacting with clients of diverse background.
- Demonstration of probing, questioning,
attending and active listening
